Mark Malby posts in
Lamma Gardener FB
group: "Geoff
Smith faces off
against his nemesis. "We're
coming for yer eggplants," the
chief boar grunted."
These 3 boars and their friends
have been causing major
devastation in the
Tai Peng Community Garden!
They've came in repeatedly and
have rooted up some newly
planted items, digging up the
vegetable and flower beds
searching for anything edible.
Stronger fences are in progress!

Feb 19:

Pak Kok resident David
Xu has just released
himself from his self-imposed
14-day Covid-19 quarantine in
his Lamma Island home, after
returning from LNY
holidays/family visit in Peking.
He tells his story here:

"HK Electric
has been presented with the
"2018/19 Hong Kong
Sustainability Award" and
"Special Recognition for
Innovation" by The Hong Kong
Management Association (HKMA) in
recognition of the Company's
commitment to sustainability and
the enhancement of performance
through innovation and adoption
of advance technology....
...HK Electric also
collected the "Special
Recognition for Innovation"
award. Mr. Wan said that besides
big data and AI, HK Electric
also uses drones and robotics to
optimise operation and its staff
is inspired to use
end-user-developed apps and
technologies to streamline work
processes. More than 40 mobile
apps have been developed during
the year, including an app which
could process applications for
the Smart Power Care Fund in an
easy and efficient manner,
saving paperwork and
manpower...."

A Complete Guide to Lamma Island
by
DRONE & DSLR (6 Feb
2020!)
You might also like their more
detailed, but a bit older guides from
2018:
Spending A Day On Yung
Shue Wan
Best Beaches on Lamma Island
Sok Kwu Wan to Yung Shue
Wan Hike
Sok Kwu Wan Circular
Hiking Trail
P.S. These
guides are fairly short, but
informative. Far from
"Complete", plus a few
small mistakes, but the only major one
I found was the omission of the
entire YSW-Pak Kok-Aberdeen ferry
route. But the many drone shots,
including aerial panoramas, are
pretty spectacular! Highly
recommended!

-
Before the purchase of
that new sofa or bed, ensure
that the store will deliver
to pier 4 in Central.
-
Speak to the lady at the
customer service office at
pier 4 to "book" a space. Do
this first!
-
Set up a WhatsApp group
with Steve at Trade Winds &
the vendor to coordinate
delivery to the pier.
Steve adds: Trade
Winds can also do the local
pick-up for you (large or
small) & bring it to the
pier themselves.
-
Sit back & let Steve &
his team take the strain! My
new sofa was delivered by
trolley to my 2nd floor flat
in Tai Wan San Tsuen &
hoisted over the balcony.
Steve & his guys unwrapped
the sofa & removed the
packaging for recycling.
-
Call Steve! It's really
that simple!
P.S. Lamma
specialist
Trade Winds will do
moves of any size
("No move too small!).
But the majority of their moves
these days are international
moves of HK-based professionals
and families moving back home
overseas. Sign of the times.

Steve:
"We are here to throw a line to
anyone in these unsure waters
recently."
