dry feet during really low

More major tides coming up next month!

Exploring the Entire Cable Road
15 years ago today, I wrote:
Today, I've been biking the
first Cable Road from the upper
Power Station gate (see above)
all the way to the farthest end
of Pak Kok Village where the
massive power cables below the
Cable Road dive under the Lamma
East Channel to power up all of
HK Island.
Thanks to HK Electric
who built and maintains this
road, planting trees along most
of its length.
This is THE most beautiful road
on Lamma, IMHO, just stunning to
bike or hike right now; so green
and luscious, partially
overgrown due to almost no
traffic of any kind....
Click for my
comprehensive photo gallery
along the entire Cable Road.

Ferries Meetup
Every non-holiday at noon there's a meetup of 3 Lamma ferry co.'s
regular routes: HKKF (YSW-Central), Tsui Wah
Ferry (YSW-Pak Kok-Aberdeen), HK Electric (Power Station staff ferry).
This "meeting point", the buoy halfway between YSW and Pak Kok, is very close to where the
Lamma Ferry Disaster happened with 38
lives lost on Oct 1, 2012:

Under-18 Lamma Dragons
Photo taken by Liz Gower
at Power Station Beach. It
tells you so much about the
Lamma Dragons U-18 team (12-18 years), how
much fun they're having in
dragonboating training, winning pretty
often in HK-wide races!
July 1:
Home Weather Station 4 U?
Hottest topic today on Lamma FB: Home Weather Stations!
After listing the 3 public
stations on N.Lamma, a lively
discussion ensued with quite a
few Lammaites raising their hand
(virtually), shouting "I want
one!!"
How to purchase one and join the
Weather Underground Network
where they gather and publish
your weather data. Weather
stations are claimed to be easy
to install and set up, using
your WiFi, have outside gauges,
a mini station and monitor
indoors. It might be fun and
educational, check out these
models:
